There’s something magical about a dessert that comes together almost entirely from what you already have tucked away in your pantry and fridge. That’s exactly why I love this maple pecan apple cobbler. It starts the moment you gather your everyday staples—nothing fancy.

But one of my favorite parts of this recipe happens before the batter even touches the dish. This well-loved, nostalgia-soaked baking dish. Mine belonged to my grandma, and every time I use it, I wish I could serve her some of whatever I'm cooking.

If you love texture as much as I do, don’t skip the maple-pecan cinnamon topping. It’s optional, but it adds the most delightful, sweet crunch in every bite.

Simple ingredients, cozy vibes, and a dessert that warms the whole kitchen—this maple pecan apple cobbler is everything fall baking should be.

Maple Pecan Apple Cobbler

Ingredients

Filling:

  • 6-7 Apples

  • 1/3 cup Pure Maple Syrup

  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/4 teaspoon all spice

  • 1 tablespoon Flour

Batter:

  • 1 cup Flour

  • 3/4 cup Sugar

  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder

  • pinch of salt

  • 1 cup Milk

  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter* (for the bottom of the pan)

Topping:

  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans

  • 2 tablespoons Syrup

  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Thinly slice the apples and add to a large bowl. Add all filling ingrediets to the bowl and mix. Set aside.

  • Mix all of the batter ingredients together, except the butter, with a whisk: flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk. Set aside.

  • Mix the topping ingredients together and set aside.

  • In a baking dish, 13x9 glass dish, add the 1/2 cup of melted butter to the bottom of the dish.

  • Pour in the batter. Don't mix anything together.

  • Add the apples evenly to the top of the batter. Again, don't mix, but do your best at evenly placing the apples for even baking.

  • Sprinkle the maple pecan topping on the top of the apples.

  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, until it golden and bubbly around the edged. The center will be set nicely and not jiggly.

  • Serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy.
