Talk about the ultimate comfort food! One of my son's favorite dinners in particular. This fettuccini Alfredo is absolutely devoured every time I make it, so now I just double the recipe. It’s super easy and can be made in one pot start to finish. We like adding grilled chicken to ours , but you can do salmon, shrimp, or even steak. It's so versatile.
See below for recipe
Ingredients:

Fettuccini Alfredo

Ingredients:
1 lb dry fettuccini pasta
5 tablespoons butter
3 garlic cloves
1 1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 salt
1/4 pepper
1 cup grated parmesan
1-2 tablespoons fresh chopped herbs (I used parsley and oregano)
Leftover chicken grilled chicken or protien of choice
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package instructions. While that is cooking start on the sauce.
For the sauce, with the burner on medium, melt the butter in the large pan. Once melted add chopped garlic and allow to sauté.
Turn heat down to medium-low and add the cream.
Add salt and pepper and the cheese. Allow to slighlty simmer, stiring as it thickens and the cheese melts.
Once its slightly thickened and the pasta is done, add the pasta directly from the pot to the cheese sauce and toss it all together. Sprinkle in the herbs and toss again.
Serve with your protein of choice and enjoy!!
I hope your family loves this as much as mine.
Let me know if you have any questions or if you’ve tried this recipe. I’d love to hear what you think.
